About Life Science Department

Department of Lifesciences was established in the year 2013-14.

PAHER University’s Department of Botany and Zoology offers a three year undergraduate (six semesters) and  two-year postgraduate degree program designed to cultivate a deep, research-oriented understanding of the plant and animal sciences. The program aims to equip students with both a solid theoretical foundation and essential practical experience across the broad spectrum of plants and animals. It offers core areas such as diversity, physiology, cell biology, pathology and biochemistry.

In Research, department offers doctoral programs, fostering research and education in various sub-disciplines such as microbiology, ecology, physiology, taxonomy, ethnobotany, paleobotany and pathology. It focuses on the study of animals, their structure, ecology , ethology  physiology, and evolution. It provides a strong foundation in understanding the diversity of animal life, from microscopic organisms to complex vertebrates

In addition to in-depth coursework, students engage in hands-on research, benefitting from the department’s advanced experimental and laboratory facilities.
